£90 needed for a Debt Relief Order
From Halifax - 53 years old.
S is a recovering addict who is struggling massively with the burden of his debts (around £11,000). He has recently attempted suicide because he is struggling to cope with his debt problems. He loses 30% of his Universal Credit each month to forced debt repayments. This is forcing him to use foodbanks - the £30 a week he loses is what he should be spending on food. A Debt Relief Order would stop these deductions and allow S to concentrate on his mental health and staying clean.
