He had to use all of his ESA to put in 2nd hand basic needs. He now needs money for healthy food stuff, transport, beddings, window/door blinds until he gets his monthly allowance and offset some bills.
Deborah had experienced abuse from her husband for many years and she finally left him but she then experienced severe depression and stopped working, recently she has now managed to secure a part time job but she has not been paid properly since April 2017. She is financially struggling and needs some money to pay some household bills and debts.
V is a lone parent of three sons and has severe health issues. She lost her job when she started cancer treatment some years ago. Due to her poor health, she was unable to apply for certain benefits and ended up with significant debts. The client's only income is from benefits and is not in a position to pay back her debts. It would be a great relief for her if we could support her to get a Debt Relief Order, so that her debts can be written off and give her a fresh start.
Jenny is a single lady who suffers from depression and anxiety. She has two jobs but both are zero hours contracts so her monthly income is very variable. As her Universal Credit is paid a month in arrears, this means she has some months with almost no income. She has made great progress with our team and is living within her means but cannot afford her debt repayments. It would be a great relief for this client if we could support her to get a Debt Relief Order to give her a fresh start.
S. left husband in May following 6 years of physical, psychological and emotional abuse. She has had to leave her job as she had a nervous breakdown and is experiencing flash backs from the abuse. She has applied for benefits with the help of an advice centre, so she can have space to seek professional support for her mental health. She currently has no source of income until her benefits are processed, therefore she is need of financial help to pay her bills and for travel expenses
M has been street homeless for the last 3 years. She became severely depressed after her mother passed away and couldn’t keep up with the payments of her rent. She was recently sexually assaulted by a stranger and is now in emergency accommodation. She is starting to apply for benefits now but has not enough money to buy essentials and food. She would love some help to buy some clothes, toiletries and other essentials.
We are in the process of supporting J for a bankruptcy. He has severe mental health issues, which makes it very difficult for him to manage his affairs. Due to his mental struggles, he has accumulated a substantial amount of debts. A bankruptcy would give him a fresh start and help also his mental health significantly.
