K is a forty nine year old female living on her own. She has chronic medical problems, has been suffering from anxiety and depression and is dealing with debts and the possible loss of her home. Although her debts have been stabilised with the help of a charity, she is still facing the potential loss of her home, and is struggling with her mental health. She has been signposted by her GP for private counselling, but cannot afford the £20 session fee. A donation of £140 would enable her to have seven sessions and hopefully improve her mental/emotional stamina.
R is unemployed with one dependent and, due to this, has a number of debts. We are trying to raise £90 for a Debt Relief Order to make her living situation better.
Our client lived with his mother until her death, and is now being required to move to a smaller flat by the Council. He has mental health problems and is living solely on benefits. He is being made to move at short notice and this is very stressful for him. His new flat has no carpet and we are requesting £150 to put towards the cost of a carpet.
Through the Lewisham Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre, we have been supporting a single mum with her finances. L has two young children to support and is struggling on a low income. L has recently fled domestic violence and left everything behind; her ex partner is serving a prison sentence. We have helped L with food and fuel vouchers and would appreciate your support to raise the funds towards her Debt Relief Order application fees so that she can become debt free.
Our client is a single mum with a nine year old son. She is only able to work part time and her pay varies from month to month, which has made budgeting hard and resulted in benefit overpayments. She is learning how to budget and would like to apply for a Debt Relief Order to allow her to make a fresh start. We are looking to raise the £90 needed for her to do this.
R is going through a court case, due to the abuse that she suffered from her ex-partner. R has two daughters aged nineteen and six years old. She is job hunting & income is very tight as she sadly fell into debt due to her ex's failed business and many empty promises. There is no surplus money after essential bills have been paid and R would like a fresh start from the debt. Help to pay the fee would be an incredible gift to this family and help R to know that she is not alone.
