Her new home is partly furnished, including a bed, however, the mattress is in extremely poor condition and has caused S to develop back pain. A twenty six year old Asylum Seeker from the Republic of Central Africa, attending the Open Doors charity in Hull, requests financial help to buy a new mobile phone. He has been using his friend's phone, but he had to return it. He receives approximately £39 a week which barely covers his day to day living expenses and is not permitted to seek employment. He is currently unable to keep in touch with his family, or to receive communication from the Home Office. He would be very grateful for any help received.

A forty one year old Asylum Seeker from Iran, attending the Open Doors charity in Hull, requests help to buy a second hand bicycle, helmet and lock. He has an allowance of approximately £38 a week for all his living expenses and is not permitted to seek paid employment while awaiting a decision from the Home Office. A bicycle would help him greatly, reduce his travel costs, enable him to attend English classes regularly, and facilitate participation in social activities.
