A couple on low income have had to take an elderly parent into their home who has severe dementia. Her partner is not working and she is the main carer. If they did not look after her she would have been forced to go into a home, which the couple did not want. Unfortunately the lady has a number of physical needs so they need new bedding and suitable equipment for the bathroom.
D is a 59 year old lady who lives alone. Unfortunately she has a number of health issues including scoliosis and COPD which causes her to be extremely breathless. She has not been able to work since 2019 and over the last year has had to shield during the COVID pandemic. She is struggling to cover the cost of her utility bills and feed herself. She has less than £80 each month to spend on food. Help with shopping vouchers would give her great support.
My client K is a victim of domestic abuse and has left her partner. She is currently in recovery for alcohol and drug use, she has been to rehab and continues to successfully be in recovery. She is suffering from poor mental health and would like to complete an online course, which she will find useful for her continued recovery, however she cannot afford the cost. Any help towards her accessing the course would be gratefully received. Thank you.
