M has severe health conditions which affect her mobility and mental health. She currently has no wardrobe and can’t afford to replace it. She has to keep all of her clothes on the floor and having to bend to reach them causes her pain. She is on benefits but after contributing to her housing costs and paying utility bills she barely has enough for food, let alone extras. Your kind donation would make such a difference to M both emotionally and physically.
D, who has a speech impediment, has requested help with purchasing a cooker. Her husband and she are on benefits, and they care for their adult son who cannot look after himself. This costs them additional money. They have had no cooker since before Christmas. We have some matched funding, so the £150 asked for would enable us to purchase the cooker, have it fitted and the old one properly removed.
W lives in temporary accommodation and has fallen into rent arrears. Due to fluctuating working hours, her Housing Benefit did not cover her full rent. She wasn't notified of this for some time and is now trying to pay back the arrears gradually. W cannot apply for permanent housing until she clears her arrears. We are working with W to reduce other bills so she can focus on her arrears but would be grateful for donations. W lives with her teenage son and is recovering from a mental health breakdown.
F is a single mother to 5 children, she works part time as a carer and money does not stretch far. Her eldest daughter recently moved home following a mental health breakdown placing further financial strain on the family. F needs to care for her daughter and younger children whilst working as a carer in the community. We would like to raise money to buy a supermarket voucher to pay for some essentials since all children are now home from school. This will provide some short term financial support.
