D is a regular at our soup kitchen and foodbank. He has recently experienced some medical problems, which have resulted in his mattress becoming too soiled for proper cleaning. He is currently sleeping on the floor, but has identified a mattress he would like to get once shops reopen. He is worried about how he will afford it. We would like to buy the mattress for him.
M is a very vulnerable 27 year old with mental health problems which have caused her to overspend in the past. Stress about being in debt has worsened her health, to the point where she recently spent 10 days in a mental health unit. We have provided her with budget coaching and her father will help her with budgeting in the future. A Debt Relief Order would write off her debts, massively reduce her stress and allow her to make a fresh start.
M lives with her young son and is carer for her severely disabled husband. He suffers from degenerative scoliosis along with heart and respiratory problems - he finds it difficult to walk. The family was evicted from their home. Temporary accommodation has been provided, but it is unfurnished. It's so difficult for M to go the launderette while caring for her young son and husband's needs. They desperately need a washing machine. Please can you help?
L suffers with various physical & mental health difficulties, we recently supported her to get her disablility benefits reinstated and are now assisting her with some disrepair issues at home. L's kitchen needs replacing due to extensive damp but it could take a while for her housing association to complete the repairs. Her fridge/freezer no longer works & also needs replacing, this is not something her housing association would source. Could you help us purchase a new fridge/freezer for L?
