A man is waiting to give fresh evidence for his asylum claim to be able to stay in the UK. He has been in the UK for over 10 years, but has not been able to work in this time. He is destitute and needs help to pay the rent which is very cheap until he gets a decision from the home office.
C came to the UK with her 3 children as their father is here, however he has failed to provide for them and they were stuck in a 1 bedroom damp flat for nearly a year which was cramped and bad for their health. Thankfully she has recently moved to a much better and more suitable house however there are no carpets or floor coverings and she desperately needs something to put down. A contribution towards this would be very gratefully received. Thank you.
R has mental health difficulties and needs support. She now has a helpful support worker who has secured new accommodation for her. However, the flooring is badly damaged and splintered. R can contribute to the cost but would be very grateful for the £100 which she needs to be able to go ahead with new flooring, so that she can walk around safely. This would make her feel really at home in her new surroundings.
J is a single mum of 2 and she has both physical and mental health difficulties. Due to physical assault, harassment as well as emotional abuse from neighbours she is being forced to move, the police have said there is no other option. She desperately needs some help with moving costs and wondered if it would be possible to get some help from Acts 435 donors to help her move to a safer place where she won't risk assault and abuse. Thank you so much for helping this vulnerable family.
R is in poor health but nevertheless is trying to find suitable work. Following the breakup of a relationship, he got himself involved with people that led him into drugs and debt. He is now trying to turn his life around and has managed to get a flat in a new area. His flat is in a very poor decorative state, and it would really boost his spirits to be able to brighten it up a little. He does not have the resources to buy wallpaper and paint, and would appreciate any help.
A has multiple physical and mental health problems, caused in part by alcohol issues. He now fears he may have cancer. He has lost all contact with his family but is receiving help from local support services. Because of his health, he has not kept up to his home. He needs a deep clean of his kitchen, but is not well enough to do this himself and cannot afford the cost. It would boost his spirits to know that he is not alone and there are others who care and want to help him improve his life.
K had to leave his previous address, which was furnished, as the landlord sold the property. K is on benefits and is really struggling to furnish his new property, which is unfurnished with no carpets. He has a young son and would really like to be able to carpet his sons bedroom so that he doesn't get splinters and it feels more like home.
