C was street homeless - we have found him a room in a hotel that takes permanent residents. He has been homeless since losing his job which included his accommodation (albeit just a sleeping bag on the floor). He lost the job during winder and looking for work once it gets busy again, until then has no money and no benefits. If we had £110 we could get him into this hotel and then he is more likely to get a job and get his feet on the ground again. Thank you so much for your help!
M is street homeless and is finding it difficult to manage with his provisions. He desperately needs a waterproof warm coat and strong waterproof boots. Although it is slowly warming up it is still very cold at night. We can provide sleeping bags and other clothes but not good quality outerwear he needs. He finds it v difficult to go indoors although working with him on the fears he has of being abused. But in the meantime he needs help to stay safe outside. Thank you so much for your help.
S was street homeless desperately needing accommodation as suffers from alopecia and other acute skin conditions making sleeping in cold conditions untenable. We are working with him to get him inside again and found a flat with a good landlord but need some money up front. We are raising most of this the best we can and asking for help with £115 toward it so he can move in. He has just signed on having lost job and so has no money for 6 weeks so is desperate for help. Thank you so much!
PW has moved into a bed sit, he was previously homeless and has struggled with his mental health in the past. He is delighted to now have a home and has bought some items and has had some things given to him. Sadly he cannot afford any carpets and there is no flooring in the flat. The floor is cement and very dusty, PW has tried to mop the floor but unfortunately this has not helped. We would love to be able to buy an off cut of carpet to make PW's flat more homely.
Mr N was moved to Leeds by the police & Home office following a nightmare incident in Cambodia. He had to be brought to safety. After being accommodated at the Crypt for a time & other hostel accommodation he has now got a home via the council. It contains nothing. Some help is being given by a charity. Can we get him carpet for downstairs? Let's help him settle & feel safe please. Thank you for reading.
T has come to CAP for help with debts. She has problems with her son's behaviour. He has kicked in two internal doors. The housing association need these fixed before the end of the month. Please could you help.
J has been recovering from addiction. It is a long road. We are offering her debt help through CAP. She currently has rent arrears at the hostel where she lives. It would help her to keep a roof above her head to pay off the rent arrears.
