A is recovering from domestic violence, which left her with debts she cannot afford to repay. Could you help her and her children have a fresh start without this history holding them back?
D is a lovely young lady working with Christians Against Poverty. She was with her ex-partner for 7 years - he was violent and controlling. He took out loans in D's name which she has not been able to pay back, so her debts have spiraled from there. The debts have contributed to her poor mental health. D has a seven year old daughter and she would love to be able to give her occasional treats. Can you help with a Debt Relief Order so D can get her and her daughter's life back on track?
G has been street homeless for a number of years and secured tenancy on his current property in November, he has now managed to furnish the property but still has no cooker. This means he is having to commute each day to the soup kitchen. It would be great to be able to buy him a cooker so he can be more independent.
T was homeless and has been provided accommodation with no cooking facilities. He is in need of a cooker in order to prepare food. He receives benefits, but is unable to save enough money to purchase this item. The provision of this would really help him to eat well and at an affordable cost. Any help you could give towards a cooker would be very much appreciated. Many thanks.
R has bi-polar which means she struggles to hold down a job for long and was unable to cope with budgeting when moving constantly between work and Universal Credit. With our help she is now in receipt of disability benefits and is clear about her budget so should be able to remain out of debt. We would like to apply for a Debt Relief Order which would lift a huge weight off her.
This single mum of two children has had to flee from the area because of incidents with her ex-partner. She is living on benefits and has large debts so is struggling to meet the costs of moving home. Please would you help her to make a fresh start so that the family can settle into their new home and life? Thank you.
Miss H is a single lady who was referred to us; she is in the process of moving from a shared, fully furnished house to her own place, completely unfurnished. We are requesting support for her to get a second hand bedframe, toaster, kettle, cups, plates and cutlery to help set her up. The move is causing a great deal of anxiety and any help we can give to alleviate this would be so appreciated.
I has been job searching for 6 months but has not found work. He is also trying to repay debts and is struggling to make ends meet. He has been a self employed handyman and wants to do this again but needs to repair his van to make this possible. He so wants to support himself doing a job he is good at and this would also give him the satisfaction of providing a quality service for his clients. A gift of £150 so he can repair his van would make all of the difference to him being able to begin to do that again.
This household of 8 are having to move to a new home for emergency reasons. They survive on benefits so have no spare money to pay for van hire and other costs incurred when moving house. They would really appreciate some help. Please would you help them to make this necessary move? Thank you.
