A is a single parent with an 11 year old daughter. She is separated from her husband who was violent towards her. She used to work as a Travel Adviser but was made redundant in August 2020. Sadly, she is now in debt on her utility bills and council tax and she is struggling financially. She has sought help from Citizens Advice and they are working with her to deal with her debts. Your support would mean so much to her and allow her to use some of her weekly budget to reduce her debts.
D is a 59 year old lady who lives alone. Unfortunately she has a number of health issues including scoliosis and COPD which causes her to be extremely breathless. She has not been able to work since 2019 and over the last year has had to shield during the COVID pandemic. She is struggling to cover the cost of her utility bills and feed herself. She has less than £80 each month to spend on food. Help with shopping vouchers would give her great support.
L is a 60 year old man who lives alone. He recently lost his job following a nervous breakdown, which also caused him to lose control of his finances. Since then, he has incurred debts that he is not able to repay. He is barely able to afford his rent at the moment, and often goes hungry. In addition, L struggles with arthritis in his knees, elbows, and fingers, making everyday tasks difficult and painful. L would massively appreciate any help towards his food costs. Thank you.
