Z, an Asylum Seeker from Afghanistan, is currently waiting for a decision on his status and receives limited Asylum support. He does not have his own accommodation and is staying with friends. He has severe mental health difficulties and is struggling with stress, anxiety and depression. The trauma of fleeing Afghanistan, and the process of applying for Asylum, has been extremely difficult and left him destitute. Z is in need of any help available for food and travel to Asylum appointments.
G is applying for Immigration status in the UK. She has severe health problems, including a recent stroke, and has struggled with suitable accommodation, having recently experienced a bedbug infestation. With no access to benefits, and severe health problems, G has been left destitute and in a precarious position. She really needs money for food to maintain her health, for travel to medical appointments, and for household items to improve her quality of life and health.
P has been taking care of her brother as well as having her own long term health issues to manage. She has been relying on Universal Credit, but recently a mistake was made with her calculation. She is entitled to the benefit, but needs to wait for the calculation to be amended. P has been told that she will have to go to the Foodbank for help, but there is no current help for utilities. P has prepayment meters and £150 towards a voucher for help towards utilities would help enormously. Thank you!
