L has moved into a new council house but it is completely empty. The carpet has been pulled up and the walls needs painting. L has a disability and had to pay someone to paint the house and also to lay new carpet and tiles. She is now in debt and the people she borrowed from are demanding their money back. She only receives £317 in Universal Credit every month and is still waiting to hear back about her disability benefits. She can't afford to pay this and is very worried. Any help towards this cost is greatly appreciated.
This young family are managing living expenses on their one wage. Their little girl is 3 years old and suffers from hyper mobility which causes her to resist exercise as her joints hurt. They have been advised to encourage exercise to strengthen her muscles to support her joints. They would like to take her swimming as this would strengthen her muscles without causing pain however they have no money spare to pay for this. When she in enrolled she can go in the pool at other times free of charge.
This client is a single mum to two children and due to deafness she is unable to work and relies on benefits to pay bills and provide for her children. Due to her son being bullied at school he is now moving to a different secondary school and needs to have a different uniform which she cannot afford. She would like to apply to Acts 435 for help to enable her to buy the uniform he needs so that he can start the his new school without the worry that he does not have the correct uniform.
C is on disability benefit as she is three-quarters blind and is struggling with her bills and is having to get help from a foodbank. Her cooker has broken and she has no spare money to purchase another so any help given towards this will be greatly appreciated.
