H is a middle aged lady with disabilities which mean she cannot climb the stairs. Since her partner left her last year, she finds herself in a house which is much too big for one person, and which she cannot afford. Her financial situation has worsened in the last year, as her oven stopped working and things have snowballed from there. H has been advised to apply for a Debt Relief Order. She needs to be rehoused to a small, ground floor property and her debts mean the council will not currently move her. Can you help her?
W has rheumatoid arthritis which affects his mobility and dexterity. He has been struggling with self care and in the kitchen. He was recently assessed by an Occupational Therapist who recommended several items to help him do simple jobs. These are not available via the NHS and W does not have the money to buy them. W needs someone's help just to open a jar or pick things up from the floor. The suggested items will enable him to manage more independently and to start cooking again.
