£150 needed for a washing machine

R and his family of 4 lived in a single room for over a year. Before Covid-19, R had a steady job but was furloughed and was eventually made redundant during the latest lockdown. They have used all of their small savings and now rely on Universal Credit. They were so relieved to have been offered a 2 bedroom flat just recently but are struggling to furnish it with basic essentials. They desperately need a washing machine as they cannot afford regular trips to the launderette.
