L is a single mum with three young children. She has a 7 year old, a 4 year old and 19 month old. Her 7 year old has got ADHD and autism and she is her daughter's carer. Life hasn't been easy during lockdown as the lack of routine made each day with her daughter more difficult. L is on benefits and can't afford to pay a lump sum to buy a tumble dryer. Obviously having three young children it's pretty hard for her to get clothes dry quickly enough. We met L when delivering food as part of a holiday hunger project. Any help would be so appreciated.
This lady, a mum and her two children, have fled from years of domestic abuse. She has been rehomed and although she has managed to get many household items, she still needs carpet. She works part time to fit around her children and receives universal credit but it is not enough to save for expensive items like carpet. Her daughter has asthma so a carpet would make life more comfortable for them. Any help that you can give would be really appreciated.
We are supporting a family with 2 young children who are desperate to move because of antisocial behaviour from their neighbours. However, due to some rent arrears they are unable to be moved. They are working incredibly hard at paying the rent arrears off but we would love to speed this up for the family due to the devastating toll it is taking on the mental health of the adults in the household.
