Safe Families are supporting two little boys who have complex additional health needs and sensory issues. They lost their dad two years ago very suddenly within two weeks of him having a diagnosis of cancer. Both children are currently undergoing specialist services support for their emotional and mental wellbeing. These sensory aids will really help to provide comfort and enable the boys to self soothe and regulate their feelings and emotions.
A is a single parent who has 7 children, 6 of whom are at school. She has recycled the uniform down the ages but number 5 starts in September and the uniforms are threadbare. With this money, she will be able to get two school logo sweatshirts per child from the supplier and will get the remaining uniform from her local supermarket. She is grateful for any assistance with uniforms as she has stretched them out as far as they will go. She has sourced shoes and coats from a local clothes bank. Thank you.
T has two children starting high school in September but her twins need logo sweatshirts and jackets and she is unable to fund these alongside their other needs such as PE kit and shirts, ties, shoes and bags. She has tried to pick up second hand ones, but missed the swap meet, not knowing it was on. She is a single parent and is struggling to make ends meet after losing work through Covid-19. Could you help her?
C is a single young mum who has a daughter who starts school in September. She has recently been allocated a home for them both and needed items to set up, so she is struggling with uniform costs. She can get everything she needs for this amount and has calculated everything based on her local supermarkets prices. She will be very grateful for any help provided.
L is a single father with a son going into secondary school from September. He contracted Covid-19 and was unable to work, and is now reliant on benefits. He is unable to meet all the costs for his son's new school kit and uniform and is requesting this amount which is the shortfall in the amount needed. He has purchased a blazer and rugby top, pens and a bag, he has trousers that still fit - however his son needs shirts, ties and PE kit still and he is appealing for help. Thank you.
This lady has a 2 year old son and has just secured her first tenancy in June. She has been living with her parents, her and her young son sharing a room. Due to her son getting older and needing his own space and a bigger bed, mum has moved. Had she registered with the council as an ‘overcrowding’ issue, she would have been entitled to a white goods package, but she and her family did not know this at the time. She would be very grateful for any help to get a cooker.
This lady and her 3 children have moved house due to bankruptcy. She is facing massive financial struggles and needs help to pay her first month's rent, and to pay for electricity.
