The client is a single mother living with her son in council accommodation. She works but her hours vary, and she is in receipt of Universal Credit. Her son suffers with a skin condition which is getting worse and has been very distressing for him, especially when it is hot. He needs a new mattress as his is old and uncomfortable and he struggles to sleep well. It would help to improve his wellbeing if he was able to get this.
L is a single parent, living solely off of Universal Credit. She is living in privately rented accommodation and the rent exceeds the benefit cap. She relies on the food bank to supplement her feeding her children and L often goes without. Two of her boys are at secondary school but L does not have the funds to buy them the correct uniform and the children have been receiving unpleasant remarks about the clothing they currently wear. L wants her children to be happy in school and having the correct uniform would make such a difference. Any support would be so appreciated.
C is a single parent with twin boys aged 14. After years of batting with substance misuse she is now really committed to addressing her addiction and successfully participating in a detox programme. While she is looking forward to a better future for her family, she is currently unemployed and worried that she can’t afford to replace her children’s old mattresses. The boys are embarking on their GCSE year and a restful sleep will make a huge difference to them. Can you please help this family?
Our client has come to us for help with her debts. She is dealing with others’ anti?social behaviour, PTSD, and health issues. She recently left home due to domestic violence. She is just managing on benefits awarded to her, whilst we move forward with her debt plans. She is an expectant mum, and will be caring for the baby on her own. We would like to help to give her & her baby a great start, by providing some grocery vouchers to buy some clothes, bedding, and other initial new baby needs.
