Mr G has recently been moved out of temporary furnished accommodation into unfurnished accommodation. He has custody of his two boys, his budget is very limited as he is living on benefits and is trying to get set up in his new home which is without flooring or any appliances or furniture. He would be very appreciative of a cooker as he loves to cook meals from scratch for his two boys.
A lady from our Church donated a second hand bed to a family in her community struggling during the Covid-19 crisis. She discovered further need for bedding and mattresses for the children who were sleeping on old and worn out mattresses that were unsafe. She contacted our advocate asking for help. A gift of £150 would enable this family to replace the children's bedding making sure they are safe in bed and get a good nights sleep.
This man has accrued many debts, especially for Water and Council tax. He receives Universal Credit but struggles to make ends meet. He is now caring for 2 grandchildren as his daughter is not coping. This has put further strain on his finances. He is unable to look for work as he has young children to look after. A gift from Acts 435 donors to cover his debts would be a great help to him and give him space to care for his grandchildren. Thank you.
