This young family have just fled domestic violence. The child is reacting very badly to all that has happened. The only way the child copes is by playing sport. The child cannot walk or take a bus to the sports hall as it is perceived to be at high risk and they are of a young age. The only safe way would be by taxi. Please can you enable this child to have a time of normality and fun once a week. Their Mother has no money and is waiting for a benefit review due to her circumstances.

This married couple have struggled financially since she was refused her Personal Independence Payments following an assessment a few weeks ago. They were distraught to find their cooker has failed just before Christmas and would love to replace it. We are working with them to improve their living conditions and know it would be a real boost for them to have a working cooker before Christmas. Thank you.

Having been homeless both on the streets and sofas for the last 30 years, this man has now secured a tenancy with the support of the Council. He is awaiting a Personal Independence Payment assessment, and so is having to meet his bills and equip his new accommodation from his initial Universal Credit payments. As a church, we are hoping to help in terms of furniture and clothing. He is excited at this new start and would greatly benefit from a washing machine. Thank you.
M is currently working with Christians Against Poverty to get her debts sorted. She has recently moved from a two bedroom property to a one bedroom so she is no longer hit by the bedroom tax to help with her tight budget. She has moved in with the understanding that she will pay the deposit within a short time. Her friends and family have helped her out with some of the deposit but there is a shortfall. Would you please give so we can meet this?

I would like to apply for £100 to buy 20 day bus tickets for a young mum to attend a young parents support group in St Austell. M is rurally isolated, after paying out for essential bills she has no disposable income left. The benefits of coming to the group would be positive for her and her children. She will meet other mums and their children and take part in activities around parenting amongst other things. M also has cerebral palsy and finds it difficult to leave the house with 2 children.
