Mr W lives with his wife and has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, having treatment. He has had to give up his job due to the treatment and his wife has lost her job because of the time she has to give to taking her husband to appointments/looking after him. CAB helping her with this unfair dismissal. This is a real call for help for before Christmas - have no money at all and would love £50 for food over Xmas, £50/gas (he is having to stay in bed to keep warm) and £20/electricity.
Miss R has 3 young children who are in foster care at the moment. She has had trouble with alcohol and is now clean. She is looking to get her children back from care. She got into debt through trying to juggle her addiction and looking after her kids. Now she is clean and is looking to the future, she would like a fresh start, which means trying to sort her debts out. A DRO would mean she can concentrate on looking for work and showing that she is capable of looking after her kids.
'To whom it may concern, I'm in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction of which i get support with. Now htat i have some clean time behind me, i am now looking to do some voluntary or part time work with the intention of getting my own palce. It would be very helpful if you could give me support in getting a passport and driving licence as most jobs/estate agents require photo ID but i am unable to fund this myself at this time. Thank you for your help Kind Regards' - Mr F
These loving grandparents have recently been awarded the care of their two primary-aged grandchildren and their 17 year old sister. After continual disruption caused by their parents' drug use, the 17 year old girl had tried to take her life twice. She is now, thankfully, more settled and studying at a local college. The local Parent Support Worker would love her to undertake an equine therapy course at a local centre staffed by qualified counsellors/ therapists. Could you help please?
N is a single mum of 2 with a severely autistic child. Her fridge freezer is not working properly which is a bit of a health hazard. I have managed to source a good quality one for £50 and it would be lovely to be able to sort this problem for her.
Amazingly A has found a cheap rental house to move to in Exeter, despite having poor credit, but she has no funds to pay for a man/van to move the larger items to their new home and needs to do so at the beginning of January. She's a single mum with 4 daughters, and although she recently went debt free working with Christians Against Poverty her budget is limited. I'm so hopeful we can help her.
This lady has ME and her son has autism. The husband is carer for them both. They paid for work to their car to get it through the MOT. A week later it broke down and they could only get scrap value for it. They had to borrow money to get a car as they live in a village in the countryside.
