This lady was living in Spain but has had to return to the UK because of ill health. She is currently sofa surfing as she cannot afford to rent. Despite her ill health she is looking for suitable work. An opportunity has arisen at a Christian retreat in South Wales but this would mean her having to travel there from Poole and stay locally for a few days. She would be extremely thankful for any contributions towards the cost of petrol and accommodation.Thank you.
£120 is needed for shoes and clothes for this mother and her eight year old daughter, who has a disability. The cost of medical supplies has meant that they require help from the local food bank and have no spare funds for clothes or shoes. They currently only have flip flops as footwear. Any help would be very much appreciated.
After being homeless for the past 3 months, this single mum and her young daughter have just moved into their own council property. The Council have provided the majority of her white goods, for which she is most grateful, but with a young child (and Cornish weather!), a condenser dryer would make a real difference. Could you help this little family settle into their new home? Thank you.
This lady is getting help to rehabilitate after a short time in prison but has no money for the clothing she needs. The shoes she was given in prison are too tight and are hurting her feet. Her Universal Credit was stopped and she is now having to reapply, but there is a five-week wait. She's living in a caravan and needs the gas bottle filled to provide for heating and cooking. We've given her food via the food bank. If we can get her through this time it'll help her get back on her feet.
This lady's Health Visitor contacted us for help. Her client is in desperate need of a new mattress for her daughter's bed, but she can't afford to buy this herself. She would be so grateful for your help.
S is a single mother who fled domestic violence with her young child. The child is being investigated for autism and learning difficulties. She has just started school but as her diagnosis has not yet been confirmed, she is not entitled to free transport to school. Her mother is on Universal Credits which are being reviewed due to her circumstances and has no transport. She is finding it extremely difficult to pay for taxi fares out of her low income.
M has escaped domestic violence and is staying at present in a Travelodge hotel in a strange town waiting for accommodation. She fled without anything at all - just the clothes on her back. If we could assist her with some basic items to see her through this initial stage of her new life she will be so grateful. The foodbank volunteers are feeding her and making sure she is okay.
This client is a single older lady who has been going through severe ill health, and because of this has been made redundant at work. She has had three heart operations and has ongoing investigations at a specialist hospital out of the county. She has run up debts on utility bills and is being ordered to pay this back, but isn't able to afford this. She is desperate for living expenses as well as trying to pay off her debts. Stress exacerbates her condition, please will you help her?
