From here, she sofa surfed for a year staying on friends' sofas while trying to save for a property of her own. She then became pregnant and managed to secure a property but has no furniture. Friends have helped with a lot of household goods but she is still without some furniture such as curtains and wardrobes for when the child arrives, can you please help?

L is a single mother aged 39 who lives with her son aged 9. She has learning difficulties and is in receipt of benefits but can't work due to social anxieties, and finds it hard to socialise. Therefore although her son attends school regularly he can't see his friends outside of school. He enjoyed school clubs for football and rugby which were stopped due to Covid-19. He has said he would like to have some swimming lessons to boost his confidence and self esteem. Please help this family.

This man had just started a job as a supermarket delivery driver when he had to self isolate as he came in contact with a Covid case. He only received £16.00 in wages, lost his job and is now on Universal Credit. Because of the delay in payment he has had to use our food bank. He has kept up with his rent but is in debt with his gas and electricity supplier. The worry of these arrears are causing a lot of anxiety. Please can you help him clear this debt?
A divorced mum with two school age children has been visiting the foodbank for help with food. She has not received maintenance from her ex in support of the children for well over 3 or 4 years and is surviving on old style Tax Credits and Housing Benefits. Her washing machine has now broken down and she would be grateful for some help towards getting a new machine. Her mental health is not good at present due to the strain of coping on her own.
T is a single parent of six children who has struggled with poor mental health for a number of years. She has often felt unable cope with daily living and her older children have often been left to care for their younger siblings. T has not worked as she battled with illnesses and they have been surviving off limited benefits. Her children have recently been provided with new bedding but the youngest do not have their own beds. Bunk beds would fit in the limited space and give these young children somewhere to sleep safely. Any help would be so appreciated.
Mr C recently had a house fire in the kitchen which destroyed a number of appliances, including the fridge. Although he lives on benefits, he has been able to replace most of the other damaged items, but has not been able to afford a new fridge. Mr C is wheelchair bound and an under-counter fridge would allow him to easily reach his food. Any support would be so appreciated.

She has a personality disorder, fibromyalgia, severe back pain, depression and anxiety, amongst other illnesses. On top of this, she was raped a few years ago and is currently going through the court process to convict her rapist. Z's son just turned 19 so she has lost the child element of her Universal Credit, meaning she cannot afford to put food on the table. Please help her.

Recently, our client's wife passed away, and he has found life very hard to cope with. His children were taken into care and he lost his job, finding himself in absolute despair. With help of his support worker he is beginning to turn his life around. He has severe back problems and finds sleeping and mobility a problem, even though he is on strong pain relief. He has been advised to get an orthopaedic mattress to support his back and help him sleep better but he cannot afford it as he is waiting on benefits.
