Her daughter lives nearby, but has a son with a life-limiting illness, and whilst dedicated is unable to be as available as she would wish to be. T has moved into his own flat having lived in supported accommodation. The move has worked out well for him, and he is enjoying his new flat and still in contact with us for support as needed. T needs to finish carpeting his flat to help it feel like a home, as parts still have exposed floor boards. He needs approx. £115 in order to do this, as he is on benefits. The supported housing project will help him find, deliver and fit the remaining carpet. Thank you for your help.

Happily he has just secured some work cleaning, but he won't get paid for over a week, and has to pay to travel to the job. They've been really up against it with water, electric and gas bills etc whilst he wasn't around but they're now being really careful with their budgeting. He tells me he wants to pay for his own food rather than relying on foodbank, and when he gets some money he wants to buy a bible for his wife, as they've started going to church as a family.

This couple have 4 children aged 2-7, all of whom have various additional needs ranging from autism to epilepsy, to a very rare lung condition. Mum and Dad are chief carers, operating with very little support, with mum working as a nurse a couple of days a fortnight. A while ago they made sensory bags for each of the children to aid them in the classroom, but sadly one of the bags was stolen. They would love to replace it and a few of the well-worn items in the other bags.

M is working with Christians Against Poverty to sort his finances, and is on track to have his debts written off. He is on a very low level of Universal Credit, and there are quite a few deductions from this before he receives his monthly income. He lives in a remote village, and his budget doesn't even allow for bus fares into the job centre. I've referred him to our foodbank, but he has no chilled, frozen or fresh food currently. We'd love to be able to help with these basic needs.
