This single dad hit rock bottom, lost his job, and his partner walked out, taking his five year old daughter. While he was out, his ex removed items from the house. He is under the GP for anxiety, depression and debt management, as he is now in rent arrears. He needs the basics of a home start pack and some furniture so that he has storage for clothes, rather than the floor. He begs to have staying contact with his daughter, but needs drawers for clothes, pots and pans and kitchen equipment so he can cook healthy meals for his daughter.
This lady is struggling to afford food, having recently lost her job, and is desperately looking for another. The cost of living crisis has meant that all her bills have gone up, whilst her income has disappeared. Some supermarket vouchers will support her to stay afloat during this difficult time, and give her hope for a more stable future.
This lady's Work Coach at the Job Centre asked if we could help her get funding to buy a washing machine. She has exhausted any advances available through Universal Credit, is struggling with mental health problems and is an isolated single mum. We have obtained some funding from another source to help towards the purchase a new washing machine. Please can you help her reach the target she needs to afford it?
B has several serious health conditions, is on benefits and really struggling to make ends meet, and is being supported by his local Foodbank. He really needs a microwave, a new toilet seat and some kitchen equipment, but he cannot afford to buy them. Any help that you could give B to be able to get these needed items would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
This mum has an adult son with Downs Syndrome. Her phone is beyond repair and she has just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer so will probably need radical surgery. A new phone will mean she can stay in touch with us for support, but more importantly be able to respond to hospital appointments and during treatment be able to access cancer support. Please consider funding this urgent request.
L is on Universal Credit, but really struggling to get by. He is a single parent to two teenage daughters and is being supported by his local Foodbank. There is no flooring in L's daughter's bedroom and he cannot afford to buy any. Please could you help to buy some flooring? This would be very much appreciated. Thank You!

Our client is experiencing a temporary financial crisis, due to an unexpected change in her benefits that has coincided with a huge jump in her energy bills, and the cost of supporting her and her daughter. She is now behind in her payments and seeking support to get her back on track.
This gentleman who is struggling with finances, is getting some help with health costs, but lost out on full support due to being just over the eligible amount for Pension Credit. Unfortunately, he is facing dental costs, but also has to pay his energy bill which he is unable to do. This is causing him great distress and his Social Prescriber has endorsed his need for this request, which would be greatly appreciated.
This young, homeless man is sleeping in a tent on the Camel Trail, following a relationship breakdown. A number of agencies are seeking to assist him, and we have been supporting him a little as a church. He now has a waterproof tent and a repaired bike, but is still lacking the basics such as a decent air bed, better sleeping bag, and a rucksack to keep his belongings with him, when in town. He would also like to purchase some basic food supplies. Please can you help him?
X, a Christians Against Poverty client, is working hard to address her debts. Unfortunately, the family have a low income and life has been very difficult. Recently, their bed has collapsed and they need to buy a replacement as, currently, the only option is for one of them to use a child's inflatable bed to sleep on. This is extremely uncomfortable! Please would you consider supporting them? Thanks for reading this request.
This gentleman has been trying to support his family for many years whilst simultaneously trying to clear his debts. His debts have become unmanageable and have got on top of him. He is receiving support to deal with his debts, but some Supermarket Vouchers will allow him to afford food for himself, his partner and their four children, and will not only allow him to afford food this month, but give him hope moving forward. Hopefully he will be back on his feet soon.
This young mum, whose son is currently living with his father, is homeless and has been sofa surfing for the last six months. She has run out of favours with friends and family and is now desperate to get a decent tent to live in over the summer. She is working with her Probation Officer in the hope of finding more permanent accommodation, but has been warned that the options are limited. Please could you help her?
My client is living on the minimum amount of Universal Credit for a single adult and is paying back a family Tax Credit overpayment that the Department of Works and Pensions incorrectly calculated a few years ago. X is suffering from high anxiety and has been having panic attacks which are making it difficult for her to manage. She is looking for gardening work, but does not have suitable footwear. We are asking for donations towards a suitable pair of working boots to help her with her first job. Thank you!
This lady sadly lost her husband last year, having been fully reliant on him for her care, all household matters and finances. She is now struggling with debts and bills, but we are helping her get her finances back on track. She had been using a tumble dryer, as she has nowhere to dry her clothes, but her gas and electricity bills are unaffordable. She would really benefit from a rotary washing line to dry clothes in summer and a heated airer for winter, and would be very grateful for any help.
This client came to us after her benefits were stopped and she is now struggling to meet the needs of food and utility costs for her and her two children. She has had three large family bereavements in the last two years, and most recently lost her mother last week so has no close support network. Please can you help her?
