'D' has five children, including twins, who need new coats and shoes. She and her husband are struggling to pay bills since she has had to give up her work to care for two of her children who have special educational needs. Her husband is in paid employment but the income is low. The social worker is trying to arrange increased benefits but this is uncertain. She would also like to use some of the money towards heating bills.
'R' is an unemployed single parent of four children who is struggling to pay his bills. He has rent arrears and is being threatened with eviction if he cannot pay his rent. He is making an appointment to seek advice from Christians Against Poverty to manage his debts; this request would enable him to pay his rent for one month and avoid eviction.
L has physical disabilities that mean she cannot drive and accessing public transport is difficult. She is therefore dependent on taxis for transport, which is extremely expensive and not affordable on her current budget. She is currently engaging in one of our projects but is unable to afford the transport each week. Please can you help us bless this lady and enable her to attend our RESET program courses. This money would be used exclusively to attend the courses.
