Some of the requests posted by our advocates go to the heart. Take a request like this from Burnley, Lancashire:
H was in an abusive relationship. She was moved by the police into bed and breakfast accommodation which she has now left and been rehoused, but she has little furniture. She is also undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer and has radio therapy three times a week and returns home to sleep on the settee.
The request was for a bed - so little to ask and something most of us take for granted, in normal circumstances, never mind when undergoing radio therapy for ovarian cancer and recovering from domestic abuse. A bed was purchased with the money given by Acts 435 donors and surely a signficant difference has been made and some stability provided.
Praise God for all those who are responding to these pleas for help.
