St. Mary's Todmorden Adopts Acts 435 as its Lent Project

The parishioners of St. Mary's Todmorden have decided to adopt Acts 435, an online giving charity as its Lent project.

Acts 435 gives instant feedback on how donations are used, connecting those in need with those who want to make a difference. Donors receive personalised thank you messages from those they help, showing that the giving process really works.

Starting from Wednesday 13 February to Easter Sunday, St Mary’s will be looking at ways to promote giving to those in need as well as supporting those in their own community who can benefit from an Acts 435 grant.

The vicar, the Reverend Canon Owen Page said: “Lent is a wonderful opportunity to pause and focus together on a project that is making a practical, real difference in the lives of individuals and families. We hope that Acts 435 will make a big difference for many people. Little by little, we can all make the world a better place”

Acts 435 is an online giving charity based on Acts Chapter 4 verses 32-35 where the people lived in community and those who had resources helped those who did not.
