Acts 435 Giving to anyone who has need

Dozens of people have been helped in their need since Acts 435 was launched as a pilot in the North Yorkshire and Humber area.  From washing machines to children's clothing, a great variety of needs have been supplied through the generosity of donors who have responded to the call to help those less well off.

The time has now come to reach out further afield and seek to engage more churches in the invitation to help those around them who are in great need.  As the recession leads to an age of austerity, people in the UK are going to continue to find themselves strapped for cash.  A friendly, helping hand from their local church could provide not just specific financial assistance but an opportunity to provide deeper support through the church community.

Monday 12th July marks the official launch of Acts 435, not only to the Anglican network nationwide, but also ecumenically.  We want to see churches across the nation working together to reach out to those in need as well as see donors able to give in a very direct way to practical needs and know that even if they can only spare ten or twenty pounds, it can make a real difference to someone's life.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to be part of this great initiative.
