Acts 435 Giving to anyone who has need

Each month we bring you points of prayer and thankfulness, as we ask you to pray for our work, and those we seek to help.

We had a fantastic day at the beginning of October gathering online with around 60 of our local Advocates to share and inspire each other to continue to serve those in need throughout the UK.

Jenny, our Executive Director, brought us a fantastic word about how when Jesus was travelling he took the time to bring love and compassion through each individual encounter. It inspired us all, especially our local Advocates, as we aim to bring this love and compassion into all that we do through our work at Acts 435.

We're very thankful to God for all our Advocates, and all the encounters of love and compassion they have on a daily basis.

We're also thankful to God for:

  • Our Advocate Gathering yesterday. We're thankful that we had a fruitful time of fellowship as an Acts 435 community, and that many were able to join us from all around the country who would often be unable to make a physical meeting in York.
  • Our two online webinars, aimed at new churches, were very well received by those that attended, and most requested more information about partnering with us.
  • The 500 individuals and families who have been helped by Acts 435 Advocates and donors with over £56,980 in September - we're so thankful for the generosity at this time.

Please pray for:

  • Jenny, our Executive Director, as she takes part in a webinar tomorrow in partnership with Capital Mass in London. The webinar is about The Debt Tsunami of the pandemic, and how the church can respond.
  • Another webinar we're taking part in on the 5th November in partnership with Together Southwark. The South East is a region we would like our network of churches to grow.
  • We're currently advertising for the role of Digital Communications Officer at Head Office. Please pray we get the right applicants, and can fulfil the job successfully.

Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. 1 Peter 3:8
