C, a single mum with a two year old boy, was made homeless as her landlord decided to sell the house she was in. She has been 'sofa surfing' with various family members. £200 needed for a cooker
Our beneficiaries are a couple who have moved into a permanent flat. They are having to furnish their new home from scratch. The couple are in desperate need of a cooker, so they can batch cook a range of nutritional meals, making better use of their limited finances. One beneficiary is the carer of the other, and they are reliant on Personal Independence Payment and Universal Credit for their income, so after paying bills, including debt, there's very little money left. Please can you help.
£200 needed for a cooker
Our beneficiary has just moved into an unfurnished flat of her own, having escaped domestic abuse. The SVP is supporting her with getting some essential household goods together as she has no belongings whatsoever. She is in desperate need of a cooker as, currently, she has no cooking facility. She is living solely on Universal Credit, whilst her Personal Independence Payment is being considered, due to her being very frail and unable to work. She has no savings to fall back on. Can you help?
£120 needed for two chests of drawers
A young single mum is in urgent need of some chest of drawers for clothing storage for her young son. Her son has ADHD and is currently struggling with anxiety, and the lack of proper storage is making daily life more difficult. Due to her financial situation and being a full-time carer for her child with additional needs, she is unable to purchase these items. Please could you help to provide the family with new chest of drawers? This would help to keep the home tidier and organised. Thank you.
£200 needed for a skip
Mum and dad are caring for their 5 children. With limited space indoors, having a safe and clean garden is important - a place for the children to play, explore, and spend quality time together. At the moment, the garden is full of rubbish and old household waste, making it unsafe and is attracting rodents. The family are eager to clear the space and make it usable, but they need a skip to remove the rubbish safely. The family are struggling financially and are unable to pay for a skip.
£120 needed for a lawn mower and grass trimmer
Mum is caring for her baby. Mum has recently fled from DA and has been settling into a new home. The garden is overgrown and she would like to try and maintain this herself. Mum is struggling financially. We would love to help mum to get a new lawn mower and grass trimmer so she can manage and maintain the garden. This would help mum to have a much needed fresh start and help to make the house feel more like a home for her and her child. Please could you help? Thank you.
£115 needed for a rocking chair
A lovely mum is caring for her 1 year old daughter. Mum is struggling financially. Mum would like to purchase a rocking chair but she is unable to afford it at the moment. She would love to have a rocking chair in the room so she is able to rock and cuddle her baby. This would really help the family to start working on implementing a sleep routine, which would greatly benefit both mum and baby. Please could you help this family? Thank you so much.
£180 needed for two storage units and two toy boxes
