H is a young man who needs £90 to pay the fee for a Debt Relief Order to enable him to make a fresh start. 6 months ago he was homeless but has since made wonderful progress, and now is in sheltered accommodation and about to start a part time job. Unfortunately, he will never be able to repay his debts which accumulated when he lost his job and his home. He is trying hard to turn the corner and with a little more help is likely to succeed.
A has very severe dyslexia, unfortunately a group of people took advantage of this and sold him a property with negative equity. He lost all his savings, which he had built up over several years of hard work and a modest lifestyle. A has a low paid job and works very hard, but cannot afford a bankruptcy as he is supporting his children who live abroad. A donation towards this fee would enable him to have a fresh start.
Help is requested for A who has recently moved into her own rented flat, furnished only with a bed. Having no savings and living only on benefits, she is seeking a grant to equip her apartment with various kitchen items. During the last year, she has lived in several different 'safe houses' having suffered abuse from within her family.
S is a refugee from Zimbabwe, who fled her home due to racial violence. S was homeless and previously sleeping rough in night shelters and night buses. She has now been given permanent accommodation in an unfurnished flat and is beginning to rebuild her life. She has been given a mattress but would we would like to raise £100 to help towards the cost of a new bedframe for her.
