Asma is a distressed mother of 4, ages 1 - 8 years whose breadwinning husband has recently been jailed for an accidental incidence, she felt the trial was unfair. She is now waiting for social benefit support while she looks for petty jobs that can accommodate her family-care needs. Foodbank quota is not enough for her younger children, she needs financial help to supplement Foodbank, pay essential bills and transport to take children out and to visit husband in prison.
M.M, 32 years had a brain injury in 2004. Had been on Employment Support Allowance (ESA), changed to Job Seekers Allowance (JSA). With the recent medical review, his condition had worsened and JobCentre plus closed his JSA to open a new ESA. Now he is without financial support, sustained on ambient Foodbank stuff. He needs help to get fresh food for balanced nutrition and offset some of his bills as well as transport money for hospital check-ups and visit to keep him connected in support groups.
