Acts 435 Giving to anyone who has need

"He is risen. He is risen indeed. Alleluia"

This is the cry of Easter Sunday - new life, the old is gone. Here in Britain even the weather speaks of that new life - the freshness of Spring, the anticipation of summer. It is often a time to look forward and put the past behind - also a good opportunity to spring-clean and freshen up!

Many people in our nation are yearning for a fresh start - they have carried a burden sometimes for many years, and desperately need a breath of fresh air this Easter.

  • the mother who has finally plucked up the courage to leave a violent husband and start out afresh with her young children
  • the young man determined to turn away from alcoholism and a life on the streets by making a fresh start in supported housing
  • the ex-offender keen to set off on a better path to employment though not sure how to go about it
  • the woman crippled by debt who can't see a way forward.

Acts 435 has had the privilege of helping people in each of these circumstances and many more with the essential items they need such as household appliances, a rent deposit, interview clothes, and a debt relief order fee.

This Easter we would love to see a surge of support for those most in need of a new start. We hope to meet all 30 requests which we feel relate to a #freshstart in the run up to Easter.

To join our Easter Appeal and help give these fresh starts, consider giving to our requests here. Do spread the word for us over social media using the hashtag #freshstart
