This person is living in supported accommodation after being made homeless. His phone has been broken for two months and this is preventing him accessing online banking, keeping in touch with his Support Worker and managing looking after his children on a weekend. He works full-time and is prioritising paying rent and building towards a future for his two young sons.
C, a single mum with one child, has a number of psychical disabilities including bulging discs and a trapped sciatic nerve. Her only income is from disability benefits and she has no savings. C has no carpets in her bedrooms, hallway and kitchen. Carpeting her home will impact hugely on her mental health and overall wellbeing. We have an offer of free carpets, but need help with fitting costs. Any support would be very gratefully received.
J, an elderly disabled lady who is living on her own, recently had to have some adaption made to her home which meant her carpets had to removed. She now has no flooring down in her hallway, stairs and landing, which is making her home cold, draughty and unsightly. We have an offer of free carpeting, but need help with the costs of fitting. J would be ever so grateful for any support.
H is a young mum with a disabled child that she cares for. The home she lives in has no flooring down at all and H is struggling financially. She has no savings, as her only income is from benefits, and without our help she would never be able to afford to carpet her home. H's house is really cold and damp, and feels unsafe for her child. Carpets down would transform her house into a home. We have an offer of free carpets, but would appreciate your help with the fitting charge.
