Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

S has been referred to Romero to ask if we can help support her with her mental health and hoarding issues. She has been served notice to leave her property. With support from her local council, S hopes to move to another property but, due to hoarding, she needs help in decluttering before she can make this fresh start. Please can you help us to support her to hire the skip she desperately needs to enable her to start taking control over her life and wellbeing again?
Still £160 left to donate
Total needed £160C is seventy five years old and lives with her disabled partner in a very cluttered property. She is accessing support from her housing worker to help with decluttering, as her property is no longer safe to live in. C's housing worker has asked if we can support her to obtain a skip to start to declutter her home, making it safe for herself and her partner. If C can get the support she needs, it will improve her mental health greatly and she can look forward to living a safer, healthier life in her own home.
Still £160 left to donate
Total needed £160We have been helping our client with support as he had got in with the wrong crowd after his partner suddenly died. He is wanting to make a fresh start and so we are helping him to move to accommodation out of the area. He has a lot of belonging so we need to use a removal firm at a cost of £150.
Still £150 left to donate
Total needed £150B is a single parent who had been living in a women's refuge with her children, after fleeing domestic violence. She isn't working, has no savings and her only income is Universal Credit. B entered the refuge with only the clothes on her back, and is now rebuilding her life. She has been granted a property with a local social landlord, but there are no floor coverings down. B has been given free carpets, but help with the fitting cost would be a dream come true for her and truly allow her to begin again.
