Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

Our applicant, who has two young children, is struggling to afford to pay his electricity bill and has requested for a meter to be installed, rather than have a standard monthly bill which is difficult to pay and monitor. He is currently receiving Statutory Sick Pay because of being absent from work, due to struggling with his mental health and the bereavement of his mother to suicide.
Still £150 left to donate
Total needed £150This request concerns a young lady who is a single mother with a fourteen year old son. M lives in a council house and has very little income. She has a history of depression and anxiety, which means she has paid little attention to her back garden. The housing people want her to get it cleared by mid July or it may affect her right to the tenancy. We have sourced most of the cost, but the final £200 would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200This family has four children all aged under ten. Normally the family manage their finances as they budget well, but they don’t have any savings. Their benefits have changed from Tax Credits to Universal Credit, resulting in a backdated Council tax bill to be paid upfront and owing money for overpaid tax credits. The tax credits overpayment will be taken directly from their Universal Credit future payments, which means they will be getting less each month. These bills are causing the family lots of stress.

Total needed £120B is an eighty three year old lady who is struggling financially and, in turn, it is affecting her mental health. She is in receipt of all the benefits she is entitled to (her State Pension and Pension Credit), but due to the rise in the cost of living, she is finding it hard to make ends meet. This means that B is unable to socialise with her friends in the activities they like to do together and this is really making her feel low and isolated. Please would you consider helping with some funds towards food and groceries. Thank you.

Total needed £100C, who is a Christian, is a single mum with one young child who lost her husband a few years ago. Her son has been bullied at school and so he has had to move schools and they have had to move house so that the family can be safe. The Housing Association house C had to move into was mouldy and had no carpets and no fridge or freezer. She is on Universal Credit and has got into debt because of having to move house and the costs involved. C has struggled to afford food. Please can you help her with a replacement fridge freezer? Thank you.
Still £175 left to donate
Total needed £175A is a fifty nine year old woman who recently lost her partner of forty years to Motor Neurone Disease. She was his carer for twenty years, up to his death in April of this year. The costs of the cremation are now covered, but this money will pay for the remaining items. Please can you help A at this sad time?

Total needed £200This young mum, who has been a member of our social supermarket for eighteen months, suffers with severe anxiety and often struggles to get out. Her finances are stretched and she struggles to make her Universal Credit cover everything, with her energy bills are always in arrears. Mum is trying to reduce this now, as the weather is warmer, however, her two children need bedding, quilts, protectors, and pillows as they could only keep warm by wrapping up in bed. Please can we help give them a bit of luxury?
